Re: Panasonic tc-65cx420u No Power
Well I decided to go ahead and try and cook her up in the oven.......
Destroyed 3 caps but I am now getting backlights..just going to put some new caps on and hope for the best. Not much else can do as it's about immpossible to find a main for it without spending around $100

Re: Panasonic tc-65cx420u No Power
After rechecking some voltages on the main board connector J9 Inverter I am not getting outputs that need to be there.
Labeled Actual
GND 0.00
GND 0.00
ADJ 0.040
BL-ON/OFF 0.131
12V 0.001
12V 0.001
So any advice on where and what to start checking next?
Bad eeprom maybe? I'm going to try to find a schematic for the board unless anyone may know where I could find it.
Thank you for any and all help.

Re: Panasonic tc-65cx420u No Power
Yeah I didn't realize it had been so long. Had a lot going on during that time. (Meds got changed several times and lost all realization of time frames.) I would like to get this working though, but right now I'm waiting on the IR/Power cable to get here from compass. Seems the end was ripped off since I was last working on this. I may just solder the wires to the board and see what I get. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk , just wasn't aware it had been so long.

Re: Panasonic tc-65cx420u No Power
OK, so I am going to give this a try once again. The last time I was doing anything with this, before the thread got hi-jacked, I lost patience. So anyway on those two 4-pin cables I am gettin voltages of
CN202
pin1 24.88
pin2 24.88
pin3 0.00
pin4 0.00
cn203
pin1 0.001
pin2 0.001
pin3 0.130
pin4 0.039
Not sure if that helps any or not but I'm willing to try and get this thing going again....

Sanyo DDP55360
Hi all,
Working on this Sanyo DP55360. Seems like there is a problem with the eeprom. Anyone able to send the file to me. I hate to order the replacement and that not be the problem. Thanks.

Re: Vizio M420SL PS Issue
Ordered the diode and crossing my fingers, hoping it soles the problem. Thanks for all your input and will let you all know the outcome.

Re: Vizio M420SL PS Issue
Will I be able to get anything at those points without having D603 in place?

Re: Vizio M420SL PS Issue
I think it is narrowed down to D603. It's an NXP NUR 460 Ultra-Fast and I do not have an equiv. so I tried a 3A and with that it did Power up and got the Vizio logo on the screen then it killed that diode. At this point I think I am going to order some of those and jump to the next TV. I will check those other readings but probably not get anywhere without having that diode in place.

Re: Vizio M420SL PS Issue
D601 & D601A both test good out but D603 seems to be the culprit. Going to look and see if I have a replacement and will update.

Pin 1-14 down they are as posted on CN102

Re: Vizio M420SL PS Issue
I will check themout of circuit, but I guess what my question is, would something else be causing these to show bad in circuit before these diodes. Just seems wierd that only those 3 in the same area show bad, but I'm desoldering them to check now.

Vizio M420SL PS Issue
Hi all,
I have a Vizio M420SL that I am not getting 24V output from PS to LED driver. I am getting other voltages like 3V and proper voltage at main cap C612, however, on the cold side I have no voltage at any caps. C301 C302 C503 c504 C506 and C508. I have not yet checked C501, 505, C305, 307. All fuses check good, just trying to get an idea of where to start. Any ideas welcome. Thanks and here are pics....

Re: Sharp lc-55le643u Dead
OK, thanks for the info. I assume this would be done with a 1KOhm resistor??
I'll see if I can find the info on how to do this, hopefully someone else will jump in and have the answer.

Re: Sharp lc-55le643u Dead
I have tested them and gave the results in the previous post. I get 19V on all 3 of the 19V outputs to the main board when it not connected to the main board and also the voltage on the caps are steady, but when connected to the main board the voltages on both fluctuate. There is no standby light and nothing on the screen with flashlight test. T-Con fuse tests good.
