Re: Keyboard and mouse losing connection on start up
It's strange and only happens about every 50 start ups. I always reboot to get the keyboard and mouse working again. Sometimes it happens back to back but that is very rare. Even more rare is sometimes the screen stays black with a blinking cursor as if windows failed to load. Not sure if it's related at all...

Keyboard and mouse losing connection on start up
I built a desktop computer on a Asus mobo a while back. It runs good but it has one annoying problem. Every so often when I start it up, the keyboard and mouse fail to turn on. Not sure if it's USB drivers or something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Dell 2007WFP Constant On/Off
I fixed my 2007 WFP monitor by replacing the 2nd from the top resistor under the white silicon. It was a 10K resistor (01C) that was blown. Anyone having problems with this monitor should check all resistors and caps under the white silicon. Any one of them could be bad.

Re: Pioneer Kuro KRP-500 picture turns black
I have a KRP-500M which I have had fixed for the 8 blue blinking lights. Recently it has been going black just for a split second from time to time. Kinda sounds like what your tv is doing. I'm fearing this is just the beginning and it might be getting worse in the future. Any luck fixing your issue?

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
That's exactly what happened. Forgive my lack of knowledge on electrical circuits but is the mosfet creating the ac by switching at 50khz? Is the mosfet creating the ac from the 12v input?...

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
So I replaced mosfet and resistors at the same time. I thought both were bad. Only the mosfet was bad and the old resistors (1 ohm) where good. The new resistors I used were 10 ohms so that was the problem.
I think there is a separate transformer that runs the backlight power to the lcd screen....

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
Yes it is working. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. It appears the whole problem was the wrong resistors. I was hoping you could explain how the transformer works. Is it upscaling or downscaling the power and is it converting DC to DC or DC to AC? I want to learn what was going on there....

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
I believe RUR040N02TL 4 amp version is the one I have in the TV right now. The one's that are marked XF. Attached is what I bought from DigiKey.

Thanks. Someone else also suggested this....

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
So I put back the old mosfet transistor and resistors. Turned it on and immediately got the magic smoke from the transistor. That transistor is toast. I then put back the XF transistor and get the below grainy pictures. There is a red or green line that appears vertically when I switch from VHF to UHF. I'm guessing I need FDN339AN mosfet for it to work properly. This mosfet looks like it's going to be hard to find. It's out of stock at most places.

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
I wasn't sure about the resistors so I got some 10 ohms resistors (10R0). When I check the old resistors that I removed, they are 1.5 ohms.
IC301 appears to be 3843B pwm controller (see attached image). The below values are what I see for the pins 1-8 on IC:
1. 6.7v
2. 1.6v
3. .15v
4. 2.3v
5. 0 v
6. 1.3v
7. 12.2v
8. 5v
T301 shows 12.5v going in on the primary at two inputs but zero or -.02v and -.03 v coming out on the secondary. Could transformer be bad?...

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
Thanks for the reply. It's an old RCA that was made for Radio Shack. Model # 16-3066. I could not find schematics anywhere....

Re: Small RCA TV white screen
Yeah the cable has a brown latch that slides out then you slip the cable in and slide it back in to lock it. The connection should be good. The resistors are the ones in picture 4 right below transistor. The thing is I replaced the top transistor too but maybe it was the wrong one. The markings on the original transistor were 339 d. The transistor I replaced it with is a N channel. Maybe it should be a P channel?...

I've checked all the caps and they all look good....

Small RCA TV white screen
I am trying to fix a small RCA TV for a friend. It holds sentimental value for his father. Initially it had what looked like some burned out resistors and would not turn on. I changed out the resistors and now it turns on but I only get a white screen. I have no experience fixing TVs but hope someone can point me in the right direction on what to check or how to proceed. Thanks. Attached are some pictures....

Re: Dell 2007WFP resistors under white silicon blob
Just an FYI for anyone having issues with this monitor not turning on. I changed the 2nd from the top resistor and my monitor is working again. The resistor is a 10K resistor with markings 01C what was reading in the mega ohms (6.53M ohms). I know others have had problems with 15K and 2.7K ohms resistors but my problems was with the 10K resistor. Hope this helps someone.

Dell 2007WFP resistors under white silicon blog
My beloved 2007WFP just died on me. It has a green blinking light that just cycles through various display numbers. For a while I noticed it would blink slightly like the refresh rate was off. Nothing I have done has been successful in turning it on. So I took it apart and looked at the USB board since many people have had problems with the resistors under the silicon blob. I looked at the various other boards for the obvious signs such as blown caps, bad fuses, burn marks etc. Nothing looked obvious. I also checked most of the caps with an ESR meter and they checked out good.
