    Thank You! Our TV went out 2 days ago same thing. I used Hamie's trick and got the test pattern. Could not find a replacement main board and could not see anything obvious on the old one sooo I put it in the oven (on wooden dowel rods) for 10 minutes at 390 degrees F. I let it cool before moving it and now my TV works! Thanks again!!...

    I am a retired electrician trying to fix my niece's tv. Her house was struck by lightning. They lived with it cycling on off for awhile. I replaced several distorted caps. When the TV is plugged in standby light flashes, blue indicator comes on in front, chime sounds and backlight comes on for about 5 seconds. I have read through many posts and have gleaned a lot of good info. I tried resetting the eeprom which is on the front of the main board and it makes no difference. From my power supply CMN802, I have 4.1 vdc on pin 1 and the same on pin 3 st-by. I notice no drop in voltage when I hit the...
