When you say diode, you are referring to mousepads comment "C6603 = 100UF 20% 6.3V Tant Case-AL1 (Speaker Amp Logic)"

Hello everyone.

I started this thread in order to get some council on my macbook pro 13'.

The problem started a few days ago when i booted the mac it started to get a burnt smell. I immediately stopped the machine from booting and went looking for the problem.

Mac Specs:
Macbook pro 13' mid 2010
Intel Dual core 2.66GHz
Model: MC375xx/A
Motherboard: A1278

I can assure you no liquids or dropped in the machine or anything harmful. The burning smell came from a electronic component shown in the following images.
