Re: Vizio E422VL Stuck on Logo OR Horizontal lines Gradient
Okay! It's fixed!
It turns out that I hadn't seated one of the ribbon cables into the second Mainboard properly, causing the horizontal lines in the display.
So, the Mainboard that had been labeled as "NOT WORKING" is actually working fine, and I just went too fast to install it.
Thanks all!

Re: Vizio E422VL Stuck on Logo OR Horizontal lines Gradient
I did try to reset it using various methods found on BadCaps... But to no avail.
I've tried unplugging the set, and holding the power button for 60 sec, and them plugging back in. Same symptoms. :-/
I've tried the remote thing you sent above, still no solution....

Vizio E422VL Stuck on Logo OR Horizontal lines Gradient
Hey all!
I was given this TV. I was warned of its problem. When I brought it in, I plugged it in, and turned it on. The logo went white, Saw the V logo, and then everything functioned normally. I went through the menus, and inputs, etc. All looked fine. So, I did a Factory Reset on it so I could start from scratch.
Ever since the Factory Reset, the thing will not get past the V logo on power up.
Now, I have done my due diligence, and it seems that the general consensus is to replace the EEPROM. I'm not quite comfortable with my ability to solder...

Re: Samsung PN59D6500DFXZA VS_ON only for a second
Update:
I ended up buying a SMPS off of eBay and installed it. The issue has been resolved.
I have inspected my old SMPS very closely and cannot find anything visually wrong with it. There is obviously a failure in it somewhere, but I sure can't find it.
Given the data I've collected, can anybody suggest where I should be looking specifically? I'd like to fix it and re-sell it if possible to recoup some of my costs.
Thanks for everyone's help!

Re: Samsung PN59D6500DFXZA VS_ON only for a second
See, I thought so too. And here's why I find it hard to believe:
When everything is connected properly, the Main Board is constantly shorting the PS_ON to GND. I don't have to press the power button on the remote or the front panel. So that's what lead me to believe that the Main Board was bad...
BUT...
When I use the Fast Track (and the Youtube video that everybody links to) to bypass the Main Board (unplug CN201 and CN1601_3d and jumper the pins 3&4 on the Logic...

Samsung PN59D6500DFXZA VS_ON only for a second
Hey all, I've done much search and researching. I've checked the Fast Track, and the Service Manual. I have a good idea of what I need to replace, but I want to bounce it off of your collective genius first.
