    UPDATE: CCFLs arrived today. Tested, installed and running for about 4 hours now with no issues.

    Well I have noticed some shading/uneven lighting around the top/bottom edge, but it's minor. The monitor has always had an issue with edge bleeding, so it may not be something new. Nothing I'm going to disassemble this thing again over.

    Like I said in my previous post, I ordered the replacement ccfls off ebay. $12 for the pair, (4 ccfls total) pre wired in frames. They were very similar to the old ones, fit perfectly,...

    Actually getting the CCFL lights out of the AIO PC would have been a major pain so instead I was able to disconnect the lead and hook one up to the output from my monitor while leaving it in place.

    I played around with it a bit, and the burnt bulb is definitely on it's way out, dimmer than its partner and taking several seconds to get up to temp, plus the very tips glow red. Unfortunately, for diagnostic purposes, the monitor had a bit of a resurgence and even when put back in it's original state it wasn't flickering much even...

    Background:
    The monitor is from 2008, used 12+ hours a day. The monitor first had problems about 3 years ago. Once or twice a month it would just go black for a few seconds and then come back on. Until one day it didn't come back on. I could power cycle it and it would turn on for a few seconds and then go black. I don't recall it flickering before it went out, but it may have.

    After some googling and reading here I took it apart and noticed a popped cap. Having never done anything like this I figured I would gamble $5 that it was the problem so I ordered a replacement...

    I fixed my LCD a few years ago just from lurking here in the forums. Now it's given up the ghost again and I'm looking for some more help.
