    I did that. When I opened the case [the psu had not been turned on for at least two or three weeks] I did not see any thing abnormal. I did smell a very very faint smell of burnt electrical. I do not think any thing was burnt however. The psu was and upgrade from the original. It is 450 Thermaltake asnd about 5 years old.

    8 very small 25v no uf markings 105 C
    8 KMA 16v 100uf 105 C
    3 Sanyo 16v 100uf 105 C
    3 "Polymer" 16v 270uf
    1 KZE 6.3 330uf 105 C
    1 KZG 16v 470uf 105 C
    1 "Polymer" 2.5v 820uf
    12 TK 6.3v 820uf 105 C
    10 Panasonic? 6.3v 1500uf
    3 Panasonic? 6.3v 1800uf 105 C

    Hello to everybody. I am from Illinois. I am an oldtimer with a small amount of computer knowledge. I have a HP Pavilion that went from bad to worse, hanging up to not posting. When searching the internet for information I came across your site. I am going to try to repair it myself.
    The motherboard is an Asus M2N78-LA '' PEGATRON ". It has 12 capacitors that are bulging, all of them are TK 6.3v 820uf. The rest look ok. My first question is: do i replace all or just the bad ones. The capacitors range from 100uf to 1800uf. The second question is, when ordering new ones, what information...
