I still haven't given up yet. I want to know how this pfc circuit works, do you know where i can find explanation for dummies ? lol
One more thing to be sure. If this RP823 is out and the TV is working normally, does that mean that ONLY the PFC circuit is faulty, or can there be other faulty circuits ?Leave a comment:

now i have the mosfet QP802S out, how do i test this. I do not have any Ohm readings. but if i put it to diode-mode, everything reads OL except for Black on pin2 and red on pin3, i got 470Leave a comment:

i took out the mosfet to measure pin7 on the PFC again but i still got 8.5 kOhm. I tested RP806 off board = 10kOhm. the reading between the point of RP806 tested OL.
Then i resolder the RP806 back in place and did the readings on RP806 and it was back at 8.5kOhm. All these tested with Mosfet off board.
So TV plugged in outlet with CN802 NOT connected. I got 1sec blacklight. I measure voltage on the cap while i did this again.
i got 400v when plugged in but immediatly it drops to 290V....Leave a comment:

Budm, what do you think about the readings for DP805 i posted before #42. This ultra fast rectifying diode i got readings in diode mode of 360 off board.

the CP804 is not shorted.
Reading PFC IC with pin6 as gnd.
1= 30.8 kOhm
3= OL
5= 10 kOhm
7= 8.5 kOhm

Pin1 = DC 1.85v
Pin7 = both DC and AC 0v

DP805 : diode mode = 360 ??? but no leaking in ohm.

QP802S : tested on board and has Ohm (much higher than 30 ohms) on S-G, S-D, G-D
RP820 : shorted, 0 Ohm (Is this a 12k Ohm?? markings on it says R12K, but on the diagram it says 0.12 Ohm) I redlined this on the picture.
LB802, LB805, LB806 : measured all of them 0 Ohm

I think the UPS is regulated because i tested it (with rp823 out) and it was still working when the power fluctuated several times.
Not in my case "i think" but maybe something for [B]ricosavy[/B] : on this german website problem with another "sound but no picture". Repaired in a shop by changing DP805 "ultra fast rectifying diode, 600V 3A", mentioned in the last post.

CN802 tested with RP823 back in place. Also PIN 8 on FAN7530 i measured is 12.26v (sorry for this but that same guy (translator / newbie electrician also) told me it was 24v).Leave a comment:

I got the 6v-7v from some thai website, but as i checked further more You are right about this 12v. I just changed the FAN7530 but i still got the same problem.
Anything i can do more to fix this ? led still blinks 5 times with no screen. if i take out RP823, i got everything working when the electricity is stable, from the moment i got a powershut, screen falls out. ( here in laos electricity drops 2 - 3 times an hour)Leave a comment:

what i mean is the voltage on rp823 should be 6v - 7v, but mine is 12.5v. This is when you measure when you take out this rp823.
