The script doesn't work with THINKPAD X280 because this BIOS doesn't contain the LENV structure. To edit the serial number, try the lenovo u1 tool. Sometimes need to transfer all block from org bios....Leave a comment:

Lenovo DMI script
Hej.
I'd like to share with you a script I wrote for editing the Serial Number and Windows Key in some Lenovo BIOSes. It works with Ideapad, Legion etc. I don't test every model.
Please excuse the style and minor errors, but I'm not a programmer.
The script was written in the environment provided by Hextor (I switched to it from HxD and it works great).

Usage:
Open the BIOS file with Hextor,
Paste the script on the right side of the screen into the Script tab (you can also save the script for later),... -
