Re: Identifying bad cap(s) as the culprit - TEAC LCD
So im trying to replace all the caps on the board. Problem is i can't find a lot of them in store. Are there any rules for matching similar spec caps? Can the voltage/capacitance be different from what was on the board? Thanks

Re: Identifying bad cap(s) as the culprit - TEAC LCD
I've pulled the back off the TV, everything looks good from a glance. Ill pull the power board off and check behind. What is actually happening for the TV to switch on only after all residual power has been drained. Seems pretty consistent.

My Teac LCD suddenly stopped turning on (red LED, wouldnt respond to remote). I gathered that if i unplugged the TV from mains power overnight, it became responsive and worked fine. After a period of time it would turn off and refuse to turn back on.
