  • Re: Need schematics for Intel LAPQC71B

I was able to get the thunderbolt circuit only from a certain vendor who basically said "Hey, sorry Intel isn't helping you by warrantying this, don't tell them I gave this to you". I was just hoping to get a bigger picture without prying so that I could move on to circuits that feed into it.

Essentially, there was an issue with the BIOS firmware that fried the thunderbolt caps when you used certain docks that provided power and was fixed in a later version of the firmware. Despite this, Intel tech support basically said...

Might be a tough one! My Thunderbolt port doesn't work and it seems like power to the USB ports isn't very high amperage-wise as well.

    Re: Panasonic FZ-G1 Checksum Bad

Ahhhh, one of these values must be the "set" value and one must be the "default" value. I see what you did. Thank you very much, I would be willing to bet that this works ^_^ Unfortunately, it's a massive PITA to get to the chip on this particular laptop. I'll let you know as soon as I try it.

    Panasonic FZ-G1 Checksum Bad

Hey all, I removed the BIOS password from my FZ-G1 Mk2. It boots the first time with no password, complains that the checksum is bad, and resets a password onto the machine. I'll upload the original file and the file with the password removed - can you tell me what I need to change? Thank you so much!...

Hey bud, don't meant to dig up an old thread, but how did you change the model, SN, and windows key on the BIOS? I believe I had a bad read on my chip and went to flash a different BIN, so now the chip is corrupt with no access to the original data and my laptop won't turn on. Same laptop, F1-GZ mark 2.

    I have UEFI Tools....
