Sorry I typed the title wrong. it is a vt420m TV, not a 240. Is there anyway to change the title?

I'm not sure on the amp chip, i haven't opened it up yet.
I tried the headphone jack, and no sound. and yes the speakers are turned on on the setup menuLeave a comment:

I have a vt240m board CBPF9D1KZ1. The problem is that I have no sound. Picture is perfect, remote works great. Just no sound. I have tried resetting the eprom, tried resetting all sound features to factory defaults. No luck. I have not torn it down to look at the back of it. Are there any other test that I can try before tearing it down. Wife doesn't really want me to tear it down, but that is where I'm at. -

I have always had this same sound problems with my vt420M, mine happens more when I am playing a dvd. About 34 minutes into it it stars with the sound stuff. Now I have no sound but everything else works great. I'll not hijack this tread with that problem, just confirming a similar problem as this guy.Leave a comment:
