I see a good double the failure rate on computers that have no active cooling of the drives over the years regardless of brand at the 3-4 year mark. Often a cheap case reflects a cheap power supply which certainly doesn't help. Ill install single platter drives without fans cause they barely get warm depending.
Of all the enthusiasts i know or have helped build computers, a good cool drive bay with rubber vibration dampening with raid 1 is quite stable, drives last as long as they aren't a waste of space in the computer it seems....
From the sound of it ZLH are more targeted to the audiophiles? I could only find the 25v version. If its motherboard then i suggest the one for sale on this site.
I was pulling some standard brown kzb? 3300uf caps off a am2 biostar motherboard with 2 bad and 3 good ones. The good had 3900 capacitance, the budging ones had more around 1000. Thought 3900 was a bit high, but at like 0.01 esr its hard to trash them.
Swapped them with all 3300uf used rubycon's all reporting 3100 capacitance. Considering the power rail was lacking a good -4500 before capacitance and the computer would still run for a few hours. 3900 makes me think they were over-rated knowing they are bad quality and would...
