  • Re: I need help with my power supply board model number BN96-00249A

Hey, I had a question. Instead of using a .05ohms 1W resistor. Whould I burn the board out or what would happen if I used a 10 ohm 1W resistor. I know that's s big difference but what would happen?? I tried looking this question up but found no answers. Thanks

The close's resistor I found was a 10 ohm 1W metal film resistor. I looked everywhere. I don't know what I could use as a replacement for this type of resistor.

Thank you very much. Yea I looked at the diagram but I'm not that good yet at reading schematics. I don't even know how you knew it was flameproof. I got the 0.5 1W. But I didn't know where exactly to look or how to find out what kind of resister it is. So I really appreciate your help thank you. I'm a newbie at this. Lol. I did a lot of research on color codes for resistors but I couldn't tell because how burnt up it was. I guess I should learn more about how to read schematics and diagrams and what all the symbols...

Thank you, I'll have to try and order it from shopJimmy. They don't have them in stock so I'm hoping he will get them in soon and the other place has them but the minimum quantity is 2000 that's way too many for my need. Lol. Do you know how I could figure out what resister I may need or should I just look for one that's 0.5 1W ??

  • I need help with my power supply board model number BN96-00249A

A few days ago I was watching TV when I heard a loud POP sound! My TV shut down, everything went black. The standby light was also shut off. So I unplugged the TV took the back off, and started to check for power on the power supply board. the model number is BN96-00249A. Everything I checked on the power supply board was getting NO power whatsoever. So I unhook the power supply board and started looking around for the culprit. Then finally I found the problem it was A burned out 8 pin IC Chip. Looking at the chip I could barely read the markings on it because a piece of the chip blew off. On...

Hey everyone. I am new to this website and forum. I look forward to helping people and getting help from people. My name is Nate and I am from United States and I live in New Jersey. I live in the city of Trenton. I recently started fixing power supply boards and small electronics. The reason I started fixing things on my own was because I was having trouble when ordering power supply board's for TV's. people were sending me bad power supply boards that were burned out so I figured I try to start fixing them myself and then I...

  • Re: Samsung HPN5039 Power Supply BN96-00249A Rev1.2

I don't know why it didn't let me post the other picture. So I'll post it again. This is my power supply board model number BN96-00249A. IC Chip is burnt out and the resistor is burned out too. This picture is the power supply board I bought off the Internet from a dealer that was selling it,supposedly new. The parts that are burned out on this are the same parts burned out on mine. On the IC chip it has numbers ICE2A280. It looks like it only has 7 pins!! I was just wondering if this is a special kind of chip or can I use an...

[QUOTE=Trenton609;607246]I forgot to mention when I was watching TV with this particular power supply board model BN96-00249A. I heard a loud pop. And the TV shut off. There was no standby light nothing it just died. So I took it apart and I found the problem on the power supply board. I took close up pictures of the IC chip and the resister that burnt out I'll try to post them so you can see what I am talking about but any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are two pictures of the same power supply board. the...

Hey everyone. I need some help if anyone is able to help me I have a power supply board for BN96-00249A and after looking up the schematic on the Internet I was trying to find out about a few things on my our supply board. There is an eight pin IC chip But it only has 7 pins! That chip burned out. Half the chip blew out and I can barely read the numbers on it. It says IEC2A280?? And right next to it there is a carbon film Resister that is burned out too. And I can't see what color the bands are on it( Green,Black,White, gold) and...
