I have an Olevia 255TFHD 55" LCD that I purchased in 2008 for a good price after Olevia got themselves in some financial trouble. The initial set I received from Newegg had backlight issues. Within an hour of turning the set on, the backlight would almost turn off and then come back up to full brightness in a split second, sometimes once, sometimes it would do this in rapid succession. When it would light back up, the set made the same high pitched sound that it normally makes when the CCFLs light up when you turn the set on. I exchanged the set for another, and it's been fine until recently....
