Thank you! I think you are correct. I see some Panasonic capacitors on google with this marking.

Re: (SOLVED) D50U-D1 Lights up, no video
Hi Nomoresonys, there was an open resistor/link on the mainboard. The confusing thing was that there was a sense line providing just enough current capability to show me 12v open circuit with the T-CON disconnected, but when the T-CON was connected it fell to 9v.

Scratch that last question. 12V supply was bad. Solved. Thanks!

Re: (SOLVED) D50U-D1 Lights up, no video
Hi JDC. Just wondering if you had issues with the T-CON board after replacing the shorted caps. I am working on the same TV with the exact symptoms. I had a shorted cap on the left inner panel board. T-CON 12v is 9v with and without the panel boards connected.

Re: Sharp LC-90LE657u Large LCD panel removal tips?
Well yesterday I managed to get the LCD panel removed. After disassembling the unit, I determined that the "face down" method would not work as the unit was too heavy to be supported by the black plastic frame which centers/supports the LCD.
A suction cup jig was created as in the photo using some cheap HFT suction cups attached to some 1in aluminum slatwall extrusions and 1/2 lumber. The masking tape hooks were just used as a backup in the event one of the suction cups came loose. The screen did not flex...

Sharp LC-90LE657u Large LCD panel removal tips?
Does anyone have any general advice for removing a large 90" lcd panel to get at the led strips? One of freakaftr8 posts suggests that he started with the panel face up. Can this be done with the panel evenly supported and facing down and just removing the LED housing while leaving the lcd/diffusers/frame all in place?
Thanks

Re: Toshiaba 50HP66 Plasma SUS Board Question
Update:
I have replaced the ER IPM and the TV now will stay on without shutting itself down. I still hear a clicking noise from the lower part of the Zsus Board. Voltages are now stable attached are pictures in the order they display onscreen.
I hope I attached the pictures properly using the manage attachments....

Toshiaba 50HP66 Plasma SUS Board Question
Hello, I have a Toshiaba 50HP66 which uses the common 50" 50x3 panel. I acquired this tv with the intention of repairing it. It originally had a flashing/scrambled picture. I replaced the ysus board (as it was making noise and cold). After replacing the ysus board and checking the buffer boards for shorts, I powered on, adjusted the pots to the correct voltage.
The picture has improved, but now upon pressing the power button I get a white vertical line/lines that move across the display then a colored/blurred mis-discharge type image, finally the tv powers itself off. I suspect...

Isolating a short circuit with the BLUE Meter
Does anyone have any experience isolating a short circuit (such as in a VRM) Using the Blue ESR/Low OHMs Meter?

Re: Fake? Panasonic FL Series 6.3v/1800uf
Good eye Scenic.
Deal seems too good to be true. However, another buyer just left some positive feedback for the same caps I was looking at. He has not got back to me with anymore pics. It is tempting. My gut tells me to just order from mouser like I always do.

Re: Fake? Panasonic FL Series 6.3v/1800uf
Thanks for the quick response. I've emailed the seller to see if they can send some pics of the top and bottom of the caps. Hopefully we can get some pictures.
If I were to get a hold of these, what would a good esr reading be. Other caps of this value usually read .01 I believe. If they are genuine, would the Panasonic FL be too low to measure on the blue?Last edited by TECHMECH; 05-29-2010, 08:24 AM.

Fake? Panasonic FL Series 6.3v/1800uf
Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying some caps on ebay and wondering if these http://cgi.ebay.com/500-Panasonic-6-3V-1800UF-Radial-Electrolytic-Capacitor-/250631049288?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5ac65048 are the real deal.
They look to have a protruding rubber base (hard to tell from the photo). Wondering if anyone had some info on the panasonic date codes. Other posts about fake caps on ebay have me a bit skeptical about buying these.
Thanks in advance.https://Hey guys. I'm thinking about...5ac65048

Re: Laptop Motherboard Repair
I too wish there was a mosfet cross reference guide. So far I have the best luck finding out which manufacture they are and finding the datasheet. Probably best to replace it with the same though. I would check the caps and mosfets near the shorted inductor first. However you may find that it is an IC shorted, then things get tricky, I have trouble with this myself. I would definitely replace that mosfet showing 0 across the board. Do you have any experience with dv6/9000s that power on for about 3 seconds then power off. I have a stack of 10 that are...

Re: Laptop Motherboard Repair
Hello, I would check for a short between inductors and ground, then check for a shorted transistor in the power on signal circuit.
