Re: Samsung Plasma problem PN60F5350AFXZA
A short in any of the boards could cause power supply to shut down like yours is. I would try taking the suspected board off and outing in freezer for a hour and then re-install. I would try Y-main first, then X-main....

No, all look fine. Set continued to power up normally for a good while. 2 hours after re-installing after deep freeze, it's back to no picture. I cant see much on back of board either as banks are encased in some gray insulating material.

Re: Samsung PN64E533D2FXZA Plasma Sound But No Video
OK. So I put the S-main board in the freezer for couple hours and re-installed it. Powered right up with video and everything is working fine. So I still have a problem in that I can't source a replacement board. Any ideas on what to replace on the board?
My Y-main number is BN96-24770A (LJ92-01906A).

Samsung PN64E533D2FXZA Plasma Sound But No Video
TV has been coming on without video for quite a while. But if you turned it off and then turned it right back on, it would come on with video. If after watching it for say an hour or more, if you turned it off, it would need to cool down for at least half an hour before you could get it come back on. Well, it finally quit coming on at all. Took the back off and nothing looked cooked. Took some voltage measurements as suggested by Samsung training video. All seemed well:
Standby=5.27V
PS On-3.3V
PS On drops form 3.3V - 0V when tv is turned on.
VS On rises from 0V - 3.3V...

Bump. Your problem is same as mine; the PS is shutting down to protect the circuit. I've troubleshot and I believe there is a short in 1 of 3 boards; y-main, y-buffers, or x-main. Good luck and I'll keep watching here for ideas from those smarter than me (which is most everyone).
