well I have ordered a main board since I messed this one up trying to get eeprom off so we'll see what happens either its fixed or I throw it in trash just thought it was worth 30 bucks to save it. Thank you guys for all your help.

ok I checked the voltage regulators after reading a guide on here so this is what I got

pin 1= .61
pin 2= 1.88
pin 3= 5.19

PIN 1= 0
PIN 2=3.28
PIN 3=5.14

I have an update tonight after the tv has worked fine for the past few days it decided to freak out it made a pop noise which I think came from the speakers it turned green and scrambled picture I tried to take a picture of it but it cut off before I could and then it restarted and everything was fine again.Leave a comment:

ok can this be hit or miss because the set has been working for the past 2 hours and seem to be fine at the moment. Should I do the can of air with the set on and working or what? What does the eeprom look like? can someone highlight it or something on one of my pics....Leave a comment:

guess i edited once too many the adj on connector 4 was .02 instead of.04 after power was pressed and p/on was 4.94 after power was pressed and all the 5v were actually 5.18Leave a comment:

Ok you are right as you see I am still learning I have checked voltages again and I also have a new update while trying to get these voltages the tv actually powered on and all the 12 volts went back to being 12v instead of 14 or 15 so all the on voltages i have listed are when the tv would not actually power on but pushing the power button would change the voltages. I hope you guys understand what Im talking about cant seem to get it to act up again but my mom said the picture would be scrambled sometimes and getting it to come on would...Last edited by tallica2002; 10-25-2015, 01:44 PM.Leave a comment:

Update I found out how check for voltages I learned that you have to use a ground from cold side all my 12v have 14v all my 5v have 5v p/on had 5v even if you pressed power on/off had .04v even with power button pressed. Please point me in the right direction. I think its the main board myself.Leave a comment:

I have this Insignia tv and all I get is the standby light continuous red power button and remote has no effect, took it apart and it has what appears to be a power supply and a main board. I am wondering where I can start in troubleshooting it with multimeter. I have included pictures of the boards. Thanks in advance.... -
