Hi There,
If memory serves me right this set was totally dead when I acquired it. Replacing the z-sus brought it back to life but with some purple haziness across the whole panel.
Vs and Va are within tolerance.
By making some slight adjustments on the Y and Z boards I was able to make it better but still noticeable
What are my steps to isolate/solve the problem....

Re: Dell 2408WFPb No Display. Power supply seems good
I did try heating up each of the IC under the heatsinks then plugging in AC power. didn't change anything. although I do notice that when plugged in the heatsink near the CN701 connector gets warm and the other one does not get warm at all.

Dell 2408WFPb No Display. Power supply seems good
Hi All,
I bought this monitor from a used site from someone who claimed this was broken with no power at all after a power outage.
When I got home it worked fine. I used it daily for a while. However after every power outage it would die again. No power at all until it is left unplugged overnight. Then it will work fine.
This was fine with me until I decided to label the breakers in my house and ended up flipping that breaker a few times with the monitor plugged in.
After that day I have been unable to get the display to come back on....

Re: LG 47LD450 - Will work for a couple days, then dead set
To my surprise when I reinstalled the board into the TV and plugged it in the TV went directly to the no standby light condition. This is the first time it has been dead after being unplugged for a while. And it had been a while as I removed and re-soldered a few caps for testing over the last few days.
So the voltage across the main caps is 161V
The voltages on the P201 connector to the main board are
Power on 0V
20V - 0V
3.5V - 3.4V* thought I measured...

Re: LG 47LD450 - Will work for a couple days, then dead set
By small caps do you mean the extremely small ones by the ICs?
Would this close up be burnt joints? they are on 2 components labeled P605 to P608.
I'm not sure what they are. they are the two black coin shaped components above the inductors...

LG 50pg20 plasma - sound but no picture. TV tries to start
I have a 50 inch plasma that I suspect the Y-sus has gone bad
When powering up the set up the screen will light up for less than a second. then go black. you can also hear the y-sus start to hum. then stop at the same time. I also observed the VSC and VY voltage rise a bit, then drop down to close to 0V.
The TCON boards buzzes vary by jumping the test pins on the TCON board. This board should be fine.
unplugging the YSUS <-> TCON connection causes the set to do nothing upon power up. All other disconnections do not change the original symptoms....

LG 47LD450 - Will work for a couple days, then dead set
Hey guys, This is a great community that has already helped me through some TV repairs. For that I thank you. Hopefully you can assist me with this one because I am very stumped and cant find any info on this issue.
This TV will work perfect for a few days. Then you will go to power it up and there will be no power and no standby light. Measuring the standby pins at the power supply in this condition give a reading of 0V. Actually all pins going to the main board are 0V in this state.
Unplugging the unit for a while will usually solve the issue for a few more days. This...Last edited by bmschiizz; 01-20-2016, 04:31 PM.
