Re: Sharp LC-70LE600U - LED lamp error
So it turns out one of the three LED PWB strips is bad. Two of LED's are blown. What a tricky procedure to remove these. It looks like Sears Parts Direct has the strips in stock, I hope. Its going to be interesting getting this thing back together....

Sharp LC-70LE600U - LED lamp error
So, I picked up a used 70" Sharp Aquos LC-70LE600U set that failed due to an LED lamp error. The front status LED flashes a slow on then off. The set will startup in service mode and the lower section of the right side of the display has a dark back-light section. I just cracked it open and will start taking some measurements when I get more time. So far the output fuses on the main board seem to be fine. My fear is that there is a bad LED edge strip...I really don't want to have to remove the display but it might come down to that.
I will attached some pictures and the service...Last edited by wldock; 10-26-2015, 12:01 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi,
My name is Walt from NW Indiana. I'm a DIYer /Electronics Tech / Tech/Sales Support Eng. for a solar inverter manufacturer. I always look around on craigslist for dead gear to repair. My most recent are a 39" Toshiba (Blown PS after storm) and a 70" Sharp (Partial LED's out) that need some TLC. The 39" is going in the bedroom and the 70" will replace my 73" DLP.
Glad to be here as this place seems like a great resource for information.

Re: 39L22U Toshiba LED TV
I justed picked up the same set with the same issue. The previous owner said there was a major lightning strike/ power surge. It took out the TV and his Roku. Same symptoms, the power LED turns on and no picture. After checking over the unit, it looks like I don't have 12 Va on the P802 connector but all other voltages look good. The fuse is good but there seems to be several bad diodes top and bottom. Through-hole D201, ZD501, D501, D903 and SMT D105, D104, D906, Q906.
I will give it a go to see if I can repair the board.
