hi im pretty new too electronics and bought a scope about 6 weeks ago the first thing i will say to you is make sure your ready for one as i was moving too fast still havent got the hang of another thing i would say is buy one that has loads of support i bought one called the hantek 1060 60mhz they say 60mhz is plenty my scope is good the only problem i have is not alot of support for itLeave a comment:

you need a hot air gun go to you tube and type in acer reflow graphics card i only reflowed one the other day with this problem not as common with acer but do see an odd oneLeave a comment:

the value on the cap is as follows all readings were done out of the circuit

ye my brother had me to look at some mobo,s for him and it is very puzzling
with the smd components i put in 8 hours one evening messing with this board to find noting to much to go true so i thought it might be handy how about using this is it hard to use...

most common laptop in europe with graphics issues see them everyday
hp dv 6000-- reflow graphics card 90% of the time it will come back the real fix for this is lift the graphics card reball the solder but reflow will keep it going for a while most hp laptops have this problem
fujitsu siemens amilio-- very weak dc jacks all the time breaking
there is also a dell laptop im not sure if the model i will get it later the problem is bad design the vents get badly blocked and results in faulty hard drive with in 3...Leave a comment:

tomor i will check all the other caps in this board and yes i see that you must take it out of the board cause i notice when in circuit they give o esr my only worry now is that there is a mosfet gone in lines with these bad caps cause there is 6 in that area what would you fail rate start at on the esr readingsLeave a comment:

hi no all readings are out of the circuit there is still a few more i have to test i have replace them to bad ones but still shorts chances are there is a mosfet in line that is gone also if i get 0,00 esr on a 3300uf 6.3v is that good or bad

hi i have a mobo that turns on for about 6 seconds then goes of then back on so i got my self a peak esr meter i took some readings just want some one to check these for me and see what you think these readings were all took out of the circuit some of the capacitance looks high
1.3300uf-6.3v-- esr reading 3268uf 0.02
2.3300uf-6.3v--3212uf 0.02
3.3300uf-6.3v--3330uf 0.02
4.3300uf-6.3v--3308uf 0.01
5.3300uf-6.3v--3470uf 0.29
6.3300uf-6.3v--no reading-- esr 1.15
7.2200uf-16v--1929uf- 0.03
8.2200uf-16v--1956uf-0.03
9.2200uf-16v--1968uf-0.02... -
