Re: Dell E5420 dead

Hello all ,
hoping someone can possibly help out with an ongoing problem I've had and cannot find a fix for. I have a E5420 and have the bios Locked and unfortunately its one with the 1d3b which as far as I can tell there's no tool to generate a code for it actual service tag (CSP5CT1-1D3B). My next move was to find the eeprom and short it during boot as a suggested video spoke of . After a great deal of searching the only chip i was able to find was an 8mbit ATMEL eeprom AT45DB081D-SU954 from what I've read so far I've found no mention of this chip used...

Name is John found this site while trying to fix a power supply and realized the wealth of info it contained and as I'm always fixing things can always use resources with good information. I'm always learning new things and always looking for solutions to everyday problems. If its fixable most of the time Ill find a way.
