PN50B400P3DXZA clicks will not power on
i got this tv off the curb and am trying to get it working. I do not have much experience with plasma. I have verified that it has standby voltage. When tv is plugged in it will click and not show anything on the screen. If i disconnect the x I can get it to turn on and the samsung "boot sound" and nothing more it will stay on until i turn it off...is seems that the power for the xmain board goes through the y main board andi if i disconnect the y main board the tv will boot up...thelogic board does not turn on when i do this although it seems to try one time. Im assuming it is because... -
VIZIO M470NV picture started flashing on and off then stayed off
I was given this tv and was told it just did not work...plugged it in and it came right to life...after watching it for a few hours even wondered what could be wrong with it...it worked fine and had a great picutre...It ended up working for about 10 days then about 2 weeks ago sunday while watching football (of course) the picture (not backlights just the actual picture) started flashing on and off but the audio remained on. it did this about 10 or so times then when it would go off it stayed off for longer. so i took it apart and looked and was suprised how complex the t con was. i got online... -

i guess its more my question than answer...but you mean yes this is a bad display? so the rest of internal parts are good? i have another one and dont want to put bad parts in it and ruin something -

I think i found the problem APEX LD4688T
Well got this tv from someone said it smelled when plugged in and doesn't display the input well took the back cover off and even though I am far from an expert I believe that this board was not supose to look like this

not a problem any help i can get i appreciate it i am trying to get into component level repair and have quite a few to practice on i have bought some equipment and still need some i have fixed a few but this one i am having trouble understanding i only have a basic understanding of the components and what they do i got a ebook on smps repair and it helped some but not as much as i thought it would for 40 bucks

i have tracked down that the relay that turns on the filter capacitor is not closing to get voltage to the filter capacitor....i have had no luck in finding a proper service manual for this either if any one has any direction i can go or knows where to get service manual

it is labeld c7102 as all the other capacitors on the board are and the only capacitor codes i can find are for 4 band capacitors not 3 so how would i go about finding a replacmentLeave a comment:

what is this component i took it off of a power supply on a sharp tv LC-37SB24U i downloaded the service manual but it doesnt have a component list and i am not getting any voltage to the big filter capacitor this seems to be on the primary side of transformer and i am getting 150vdc from the bridge rectifier
this component does not have any resistance at all but has bands like a resistor but it is clear it is labled c7102... -

on the power supply i an not getting any voltage at the filter capacitor i am getting 150 out of the bridge rectifier and cannot seem to find what is in between (im a noob) any help would be awsome
the thing that has me stumped now is how does the led on front blink with no power to main filter capacitor
also attaching a picture of compoinent i found with no ohms

i couldnt find the service manual for this particular tv but this one is close and it looks like they have the same power supply

starting with the top pin as being pin #1 i will put 2 columns with left being off and right with bl on
1 ground
2 0 not common to ground and no volts on or off
3 0 off; .2 after pushing power button .1 when backlights come on and seems to flash .2 right before backlights go off and tv shuts off
4 2.9 ; 2.9
5 0; 3.0 as soon as push power
6 0; 3.2 as soon as push power
7 0 ; .1 after pushing power then jumps to 2.2 with backlights on split second before...Leave a comment:

ok so i can do that now i should not use chassis ground for my common correct? now if so how do i go about finding my common there is a wire (solid silver) coming out labled j187 gnd should i use that?Leave a comment:

no the whole set shuts off which is why i am kind of at a loss on what to do nextbecause it all powers off if i hold the power button again it will come back on go through the splash screen again and then it shuts off when it does you hear a click and thump through the speakersLeave a comment:

hello i came across this tv and am trying to get it to work i plug it in it turns on and the splash screen comes up (it says emerson) and then it kinda clicks and shuts off as soon as the tv should be displaying i can see the channel box right before it shuts off iv looked at power supply and all caps look good although there is some white crusty stuff on the big one that is below the 2 smaller transformers toward the bottom of the board. i have unplugged the ldvs cable with no change just looking for the next place to go there is some discoloration on the powersupply board on the top left and... -
sharp LC-37SB24U will not power on
the televison does not seem to power on i guess i am wondering how to go about troubleshooting the power supply board as this one is a bit different than others i have troubleshot or dealt with when i plug it in the power light blinks steady off and on for one second if i hold the power putton the power light turns to red and if i hold it again it turns to orange and makes a clicking sound as if it is trying to power up i do not have any voltage coming out of power board to processor/tcon board unless the orange light is on i have tried unplugging the inverter and then the power button will not... -
