Re: Replace/Upgrade Thermaltake ATX PSU
Thank you gentlemen, you have given me some ideas. Also, p hansonn, I am not a child. Actually, I'm 60 this year. You beed to dial back on the caffeine. You're type of condescending help is not needed in this thread. Please, stay out unless you can find a civil tongue and mind.I'm off to another board where people might have patience for an old noob. Thanks again, everyone else.

Re: Replace/Upgrade Thermaltake ATX PSU
Thanks for getting back, guys. dmill89, you would think that it isn't hard to match up, but its a bitch for me. The last PSU I bought was the Thermaltake TR2 500W, but it was lacking the plugs for the fans and short on 4 pin power connectors. All of the other PSU I purchased didn't have all of the cables and connectors that are necessary. PerHansson, you're asking for a lot, but I will give it a try.
OS - XP
MB - ASUS P4P800-VM Socket478
PSU - Thermaltake XP550np
CPU - P4 3.0 GHZ + 3.0 Gb MM

Actually, I did mention that I currently have a Thermaltake XP550NP.
Are there any specs you want me to list? IE OS, motherboard, peripherals....

Replace/Upgrade Thermaltake ATX PSU
Hi Everyone,
I have a problem and hope someone can point me in the right direction. My current PSU Thermaltake XP550np has problems starting and i'm looking to replace it with a more powerful PSU. I can't match a PSU that common connectors and cables. So far, I have ordered 5 PSU and this is driving me crazy.
After reading a few posts and searching the database, I realize that I'm not as savvy as some of you. Not sure what specs one might need. I will watch this thread and hope for the best.
Thanks All

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello World,
I've been a user from the good ol 80's.Stared in Operations on Tandems and IBM. Worked as a Communications Tech on Wall St using high-speed modems and muxes. Went to school to learn PL1, Cobal.CICS and C. Didn't like it that much because of always trying to hit the moving target. Started test hardware and software in time for the 2k scare. Been an SQA since then. Built a few test labs and picked up so nice skills along the way. Unemployed at the moment, but that's not going to stop me.
Hope...
