Re: Philips 42PFP5332D/37 Plasma - Won't turn on
Hey still hoping for some help here.
I tried removing some of the caps today on the power board and testing capacity with my cap meter, everything turned out pretty good but that's about the stretch of my knowledge.
Are there frequent bad caps for this board / television that I can test out and see if it is the common problem?

Re: Philips 42PFP5332D/37 Plasma - Won't turn on
I just got one of these tvs the other day broken from Goodwill and am trying to fix it. Yesterday I replaced 6 caps, 3 on the main board and 3 on the power board. On a powerup, it will click, show initial screen lighting (no video source), click again after a few seconds then turn off, with a blue light flickering with the red light... after a few seconds it will attept to turn itself back on, with the same results. (looping) .. of note, the cover is back on (silly me, why did I think I was done?) and I can see two green lights on...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello my name is Eric, I used to run a computer repair business including replacing capacitors on motherboards, later branching out into repairing tv's. Pretty good for no training, eh? Currently I am in the midst of a career switch but still harken back to finding broken good tvs to fix and salvage for myself or friends.
