e470vl
I have a Vizio e470vl that is not accepting any input on the 3 HDMI ports.
I figured this points to a bad chip.
I have had no luck locating the service manual to do testing.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Sanyo DP42849
Any idea how to order sanyo parts?
They said they will not sell them and I have to go through a local service center.
They said they will not sell them to me either for various reasons. Some said liability and some said I had to pay for service.
I just need sanyo part# QXXAVD058- - -M for this DP42849-01 TV.
Any ideas?

Re: Sanyo DP42849
before i start ripping mine apart completely. I took of the back cover and ic901 doesn't appear to be blown up like the first pic in this thread. I know that doesn't mean it couldn't be bad.
My power light is turning on for 20 seconds then the light goes off and it comes right back on for another 20 seconds. It does this over and over. Any quick thought where to start looking?

Re: Sanyo DP47840
Got the new cap in the mail and it works perfect.
Thanks again. If the TV goes out or anything else happens I'll let you know.
I'm about to get the 42" Sanyo DP42849 off craigslist for $40 hopefully just as easy a fix.

Re: Sanyo DP47840
Sorry I have a basic multimeter that does ohms, volts, and amps.
It does not have an option for capacitance.
I have the service manual and they are capacitors c608 and c614.
They are 250v - 470uf.
I have considered I could be heating something else up and I am not sure how to go about figuring out which caps they are without upgrading to a new meter. I would say that it is the start up caps that are bad since once the TV is on it runs fine. Had it on for 2 hours today after it started. Not sure which caps are responsible for starting...

Sanyo DP47840
Thanks to anyone and everyone that can help.
Would heating a capacitor up with a heat gun / hair dryer give it some extra life it was on it's way out?
It show no signs of bulging at all.
I have this 47" Sanyo tv Model#dp47480 and it won't turn on.
I had a feeling it was the first 2 resistors in the power section and so I replaced them.
Then the TV turned on.
After I turned it off and it would sporadically turn on and off when i pressed the power button.
So then I went and got a hair dryer and heated the 2 main capacitors and bam the...Last edited by apexlights; 10-14-2015, 05:43 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey everyone. I have been using this site for a while but never needed to post so I never introduced myself.
Josh from North Carolina here and I am an amateur electronics nerd. I say this because I know enough to be dangerous. Sometime things I do turn out fairly well.
Here is a link to my christmas lights.

Hopefully my reputation gets updated so I can make a post about a TV I am having problems with.Re: New Members - please
