Re: On Board Ram Disable via Bios Editing
it doesn't work, it gives an error when verify. I used two programmers RT809 and SVOD4. I also used two different spi's. However, I welded the spi to the board, it starts, does not display, the fan is spinning at maximum. please try the attached dump, I know 100% it works. With this bios it has a picture, but without the video driver installed...Last edited by stevetaylor; 09-15-2023, 12:26 PM.

xps 17 9700 does not correctly recognize the usb-c adapter
Hi, I have an xps 17 9700 10gen cpu. It does not correctly recognize the usb-c adapter. If I attach a 130w charger, it sees it as 90w, if it is 90w, it sees it as 65w. It has 4x usb-C, they all behave the same. The laptop came from the factory with a 130w charger. Performance drops dramatically if it recognizes it as 90w. Do you have any suggestions?
It has the latest bios version.Last edited by SMDFlea; 08-09-2023, 03:13 AM. Reason: Added "does not correctly recognize the usb-c adapter" to thread title.

Re: Question about latest u-cpu and pch
Thank you sir, I've read about this before, but I wasn't sure, I wanted someone with more experience than me to confirm. I have practically made many experiences in this sense. It works either recovered from the same brand or with a new one.

Question about latest u-cpu and pch
It is possible to replace a functional processor or pch recovered from a certain brand and put it on another brand. ex HP to ASUS and others.
It didn't work for me unless it was recovered only from the same brand. For example dell to dell. I tried dozens of times. The cpu or pch had to be from the same brand or absolutely new. Is there a mystery, or is something else needed besides cleaning the bios? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
My colleagues from the city reached the same conclusion. What do you say?
I'm talking here about U processors. And PCH for H and HQ processors.I...

Re: ACER ASPIRE C22-865 bios
Can someone correct this bios. I don't know if the bios is the problem, according to the symptoms it seems the bios is corrupt.
All sources are on, except for the GPU.
I tried with several utilities, me inject, fit, uefi tool, but maybe I made a mistake somewhere. Thank you

Re: Dell xps 8940 bios
is possible to insert a service tag direct into bios?

Re: Dell xps 8940 bios
In left corner apear this error BAC6D992
otherwise nothing has changed, service tag remain empty. and (manufacturing mode active) still apears on every start. It bypasses these errors but it is annoying for the buyer.
maybe SIO is programmable?MEC1515-Z2 and not write over the old content? I do not know

Re: Dell xps 8940 bios
for this I need to rewrite the bios again or not?
so.
-rewrite-
-programming service tag
-saving
after restart
-alt+F
right?
