I have a strange one with a Technika LED19-248COMI...

The set tunes in all channels, which is great, but if I select a radio channel, e.g. 726 Radio Solent, then, if after listening I select a TV channel, e.g. 1 BBC1, it just stays on the radio channel. Even switching the set off and on doesn't cure it, as the radio channel just comes back on. The only way I have found to get TV channels back is to retune, which is a pain!

Any ideas, please?

Did you ever get your problems with the DMtech solved? I have an LQ20X TV/DVD, so although not exactly the same model I do have similar problems, i.e. the Stop button open and closes the DVD tray; Menu is accessed by the Program Up button; when DTV is selected the Settings option is greened out in the Menu options so it is not possible to tune in digital channels; It says 'DTV Booting. Please wait' when switching on the Tv when DTV is selected, then displays DTV top right hand corner but the screen then just goes blank (black)....

Thanks again for your tips. I have got the manual and just done a re-scan, but no change. As we know, text has only been available on BBC for some years now and I think my signal is too weak for this Technika to display it. Then again, even with a weak signal you normally get some sort of text, even if it's corrupted. Oh well, at least I've got TV reception and a working DVD, which I didn't have a week ago. :-)

Yes there is a text service. I have 2 other TVs in my home which display text on BBC channels. They're all coming off a 4 o/p signal amp in the loft and no more than one TV is on at any one time, since the offspring left home!

Thanks for that advice - appreciated. Although as I wrote above that the TV is now working fine, I have discovered that TEXT doesn't work on either the RED or TEXT buttons. Any ideas guys?

Hi Guys

I had a similar fault to that above but with no standby light either.

I found the output from the PSU was 4.8V, although when I diconnected the output plug their was 12V available...?

So, I initially thought it might be a fault on the main PCB dragging the output down, but gleaning what I could from the posts above and trying the car bulb test (fine with a 3W but nothing with a 21W), I then saw that two of the 1000uF electrolytic capacitors were 'domed' on their tops, whereas all other similar...

Call me 'Keith on the Heath' if you wish. I'm a retired Englander with a Royal Navy avionics background who loves to breath life back into poorly machines, TVs, etc. I do have a 'head scratcher' with a Technika TV at present, but I'll look at the forum before troubling you with it.
