I tested the mosfets on the board for continuity but they seem to be ok (no beeping when testing source to drain continuity).

I know this doesn't guarantee that they are OK but I want to be sure before replacing.

I've tried to find schematics on the forum by searching for the MB model:

I've found many posts but they don't actually seem to be the same motherboard,
so I'm a bit confused. Any ideas on where to continue?...

This laptop died on me while on & charging, suddently turning off.

When plugged in, there was a clicking noise from inside. This is the only
sign of life. All of the LED's are OFF and nothing happens when trying to
turn it on.

I proceeded to dissasemble the thing. I've gotten down to the bare motherboard and I can say that the sound comes from it, not the HDD
or any peripherals.

I can't quite locate the source of this sound though. It's hard as it carries
through the PCB. I assume it's some inductance clicking or perhaps...
