Hi guys, new to the forums. I'm definitely not an experienced electronics guy, but I'm not a newbie to technical problems and diagnosis (automotive technician).

I picked up my coworkers' TC-P65ST30 for free because he didn't want to deal with the 7 blinking lights of death. After some reading in other threads, I've disconnected the SU/SD boards and jumped the SC50 connector, and get a solid power light, with no picture. From what I understand, that narrows it down to the SU/SD boards, and/or the screen itself taking out those boards.

Hi guys,

I'm getting into this by researching a TV that I'm sure I can fix, and I really appreciate all of the helpful advice that is in this site. You've got some pretty helpful guys posting here.

I'm definitely technically inclined, but newer to the electronics side of things. I fix cars for a living, not TVs, but I'm getting in a lot of learning with you guys.
