• Re: Need to replace CapXon C426 16V 1000uF 20mm x 10mm 105 degree in LG Flatron L1710

    Thanks Bud!

Digikey doesn't populate the ESR column for the selected Panasonic FM, FR, or FC series you specified, so is AEC-Q200 (non-general) application type with 52 mOhm impedance good?

Of the FM, FR, and FC series, the only Panasonic with my size and these characteristics is their EEU-FC1C102S.

  • Need to replace CapXon C426 16V 1000uF 20mm x 10mm 105 degree in LG Flatron L1710S

    Hello,

I'm not an expert at this but have had success with 2 motherboards and a monitor so decided to give it a shot.

I can't find a cross-reference for the CapXon C426. Have narrowed it down to the Panasonic EEU-EB1C102. Is it a good match?

I don't know how to go about getting the correct ripple current. The Panasonic is 430mA. The Capxon says KF in front of the 105 degree label. Is this a clue to the series or ripple?

    Thanks!

  • Re: Dell Dimension 4700 - Bad United Chemi-Con

Replacing the 2200uF 6.3v KZJ located by the RAM slots solved the rebooting/stability problem with my friend's Dimension 4700. Works like a charm now!!

Hey enduser. I'm working on a friend's a Dell Dimension 4700 that has at least one bulging capacitor and the same symptoms you've described. I've removed all the motherboard retaining screws but the motherboard isn't releasing. It seem to be held near the CPU. Do you remember there being a hidden screw under the CPU heatsink? I didn't want to remove and re-seat the heatsink unless necessary....

  • Re: Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Wholly because of my lack of skill and confidence. This was my very first effort at doing any circuit board soldering (ever) and my assessment of the difficulty level of the logic board was the same as you say, "a lot more difficult". So I tested the monitor after replacing the power board caps but before fully re-assembling it. Since it worked, I decided to call it a day before I destroyed it.

I did go ahead and buy the caps for the logic board (that you included in the parts list) when I ordered the...

Add another success story to the list!! I replaced the four CapXon 470uf 25v, the two Taicon 1000uf 16v, and the CapXon 33uf 35v and it's working flawlessly on the VGA.

It's still a no go on the DVI and HDMI connection but I'm not going to pursue getting them to work based on mockingbird and PlainBill's experience to date with bird's connections, but I will stay tuned.

Thanks again to all you guys!!! Also, the DigiKey experience was excellent.

That would be fantastic. The list would make me feel a lot better since I'm a noob at this (although I did feel some new gray matter growing as a result of my "digi-key-ing")....

PlainBill says he usually limits himself to Panasonic FC and FM series. Digikey doesn't have the FC or FM for my 470uF 25v 105C 8mm x 16 with 3.5mm spacing, but they have an FR series 470uF 25v 105C that is 8mm x 15 x 3.5 (here http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=P14417-ND). Is there any issue with the Panasonic FR series that should cause me not to consider it? It even has an 8000 Hrs @ 105C Lifetime @ Temp rating.Re: Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD<br /...usually limits

Thanks Sean. Yes. The CapXon 470uF 25v C551 and C552 are definitely bulging. C554 and C664 don't show anything obvious.

Neither of the Taicon 16v 1000uF 637(M) capacitors show any bulging on the tops, nor does the little CapXon 33uF 35v....

Hello everyone. Thanks for all the friendly expert help and guidance you guys give.

I too have the Sceptre X22WG-Gamer with the FSP050-2L02 power board bad capacitor problems. I'm not an electronics expert but am handy enough with a soldering iron that I think I can get this done.

Before I order my capacitors, my question is, should I go ahead and order replacements for the blue ceramic dipped C111 and C112 capacitors with the white gunk oozing around them (and the others like the coiled ones I've shown in the...
