Wait, I made a mistake. I jumped to conclusions when I saw the colour around the diode assuming it was faulty. It ends up the diode is good. The discoloration is from the cap blowing out the side. I am going to order the kit from Shop Jimmy.

Hello, I have the power board from a un50es6100fxzc tv. I found a blown rectifier diode DP808 and transistor CP819 along with a blown fuse
I can order the diode but have no specs on the transister.
The repair kits at Shop Jimmy dont have the diode and do not list spec for transistor

Anybody know where I could get the part number

There was a youtube video of a guy who had a bad y main board and decided to resolder all the larger solder joints he could see. I decided to do the same with the SMPS. I used my magnifying head set and any questionable solder joint got reset. All the larger ones at least. And then, low and behold, I found a terminal as plain as day, cracked and separated from the board. It was on one of the larger transformers. I am sorry but I didn't take a picture or mark which one it was. It wasn't just cracked around the pin, it was well off the circuit...

Well I found that the power supply was the culprit. I also found the problem on the power supply(SMPS). Board is repaired and the TV is working great. Ran it for an hour so far and no issues. Thanks BadCaps.

Hello, I am new to this forum so hello to everyone. I have been given the task to try and diagnose a Samsung PN59D6500 3D Plasma for no display. I am an automotive mechanic and specialized in the electronics end of the vehicles. Been in the business for 34 years now. I love to fix things.
This tv problem started off by losing the display but had volume. Unplugging it for a while and trying again would have the set work for about 5 minutes then the same problem. The tv has been brought to me with no display or volume.
