Is it a good idea to try to convert such a non working enermax psu to bench power supply?

Hello, I have another EMG500AWT for collaboration, sometimes it starts but more often it does not, same symptoms as above, going to write enermax about it. If they repair it or give some information how to fix it OK, but if not I swear I will never order enexmax again and will just buy SEASONIC as highend supplies.

I am in my late-20s, last decade highly burried under PCs -HW, SW, but that is no longer my motivation. Always wanted to be a administrator and I am now IT Manager for more that 7 years so it has became a bit boring.

Anyway electronics and electricity is now my number one hobby... photovoltaics, off grid, on grid systems, DC-DC, AC-DC converters, caps, you name it Im learning it, got lots of FLUKE tools and one osciloscope I need to master
