I find I'm doing the same stuff. It's not that I can afford the other part, and he'll it's not financially worth it to troubleshoot and repair it myself, but damn if it ain't fun!

Just moved to Panama City, FL from Anchorage, AK to run an avionics repair shop. We not only repair components, we also engineer and reverse engineer products. I haven't ever performed component level maintenance in my career, only having done it on personal projects and often unsuccessfully.
Now that I run this shop, I'm working on this type of stuff every day. Often I've had no idea, so I browsed the interwebs and nearly always end up on this forum. Great info. Hopefully I can start contributing instead of just taking...
