  • Re: Bad Caps Version 2.0??

so in short, moisture got into the manufacturing process, perhaps because they were in a rush to produce as many of these chap parts for the new 1156 revamp and what nots, and thus didn't allow them to dry properly.

so this can be range wide across asus's / asrock's low end?

guess it is bad caps version 2, but much much minor if it's only asus.

  • Bad Caps Version 2.0??

Hello guys, when I read these stories on semi accurate, I wondered if anyone here would be able to provide a explanation of what had happened, since it appears that you guys know what you are doing (or at least a few :P)

  • Re: The longest you've ever used a single system?

    ouch 2k for a 500gb recovery?!

my longest used system is my A64 gamer, built in 2004 with a s 939 board (jumped to it from a PIII 550E that ran at 733 that was from 2000-2004, woooooooo baby) it had 2 gigs of OCZ high voltage low lat ram (remember the high volt part) and evga 6800GT with a Artic cooling after market HSF, boy did it kick butt when it came to gaming, works flawlessly with all the 1280*1024 stuff I can throw at it and It was running OCed on everything.

eventually the high voltage ram OC...

  • Recapping a Samsung LCD?

Hello guys, I have a old (3 yr) samsung LCD that died gradually (it at first was just hard to start, then it gets to the 30 minute flicker and then operational) that I have taken apart, and found that there are several bulging capacitors in what appears to be the power supply of the unit, and i was thinking is it even possible to safely recap those

specific model and cap to follow later on, but that's all I can remember for now

    Thanks
