I am a novice, apologies for my ignorance.

I had a surge and alI I could get was the red power dot showing per to the TV. Couldn't even pull up a menu.

I found a full set of boards and wires (guaranteed) and replaced all with some success but still had screen issues and non-working HDMI ports. Seller sent me another set and I replaced the board with HDMI ports and now they work OK. I don't want to sound too lazy but I now have 2 issues, one is the picture is low and to the left and the other is remote doesn't work (other than on/off). Do these two clues tell you...

Hello all, thanks for the forum.
In general, I'm a walking contradiction:
Idealistic realist, generous and frugal, romantic skeptic, hard-working and unemployed, serial entrepreneur and retired (again).

Husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, partner, mentor, teacher, student, reader, writer... hmmm... might lack focus?

I love to learn, to tinker, to CREATE.

My main purpose in joining this forum was completely selfish... I am trying to repair a Samsung...
