Re: Apple LED Cinema Display 24" (A1267)
Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have nearly the same issue but my HV9982 doesn't look damaged at all and instead of the middle led driver circuit being affected, my problem is only with the one nearest the HV9982 at the top of the picture. The obviously burnt out components are two schottky diodes marked 238C 2100b. Marking is Secos? https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/5863259f34a80a62d3b66bcbc964e3eb.pdf
and one mosfet marked 540N 88KEG. I tested them and they are definitely shorted closed now....

Re: Altec Lansing iMT320, badcaps!
8 screws actually, not 10.

Re: Altec Lansing iMT320, badcaps!
To anyone else reading this, there are also ten screw hidden under the faux-speaker-mesh on the front. You have to peel that up to get them out too. Mine is an IMT325, same layout. No bulging caps in mine, but it won't charge ipods or play through the speaker, unless its a really old ipod w/out speaker, then it plays very softly. Aux input doesnt work either. Power light comes on.Last edited by stewart710; 05-03-2014, 09:12 AM.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
Hopefully not. I checked the voltages and while they weren't correct (probably because of the 'br' transistor), it was outputting different voltages. If it was burnt out, wouldn't there be nothing to read coming off the f9222l?...

Would this be the correct part to order: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=DDTC114TE-FDICT-ND&itemSeq=86737462&uq=634116794095449691Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW<br /> ...95449691...

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
You are correct. I misread that. Did you test with it in place or out of circuit?
Thanks

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
After seeing the success of a few people on here, I finally pulled the LCD monitor out again that I started this thread for. Cloepula, I checked the voltage you asked about and it was 15.61v. I bought a f9222l and installed it with no change. I checked my transistor 'BR' in place and I could only get a reading in one direction with my ohmmeter.
Speaking of the shotgun approach, I thought maybe I would get lucky replacing the f9222l, but I still only get the standby voltage. Still just the blue light special and...

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
Well, I'm really happy that you got your LCD working again. I will have to find a way to order the IC and transistor and repair mine. Thanks for wrapping this one up.

I'll check those voltages and get back to you.

My resistor appears fine, reads 67.4 ohms

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
I never made it any farther than you see in the thread. the monitor is still sitting apart in my basement. I was beginning to think about getting rid of it. Sounds like you've gotten a lot deeper into this than I have. I'd be interested to hear how you make out changing the IC. Please keep me posted.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
It's funny the other 245BW thread has two people with completely different boards inside, but similar problems. What is Samsung doing?

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
No problem take your time, my wife would rather see me working on the yard right now rather than tinkering in the basement anyways. Thanks again.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
Do you think maybe I should just bite the bullet and order all new caps for the power supply side?

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
So I think this is the data sheet for the part you were asking about:
http://monitor.espec.ws/download.php?id=34357
It's mentioned in here too:
and:
It seems to be marketed under the name M-Power2 and is made by Fuji Electrics.Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW<br /> ... <br /> and:Last edited by stewart710; 04-04-2010, 07:37 PM.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
No luck on the caps, changed them and still no 24v or 5.3v. I'm heading to bed. Thanks and Happy Easter if you celebrate it.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
The part has an FE P on the top line (probably the manufacturer). Then F9222L, then 6N330 on the lower line. The caps look OK even though my picture suggests leaking. The tops are flat and shiny, not sure where the reddish-brown reflection came from in the photo. They are 47uf 50v and 10uf 50v. SamWha RD series rated for 105C. I have a low-esr replacement for the 10uf, but all I have for the 47uf is a 100v 47uf SMG series rated for 85C, I don't know what brand, assuming it's not low ESR. Should I use it?Last edited by stewart710; 04-03-2010, 06:39 PM.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
Bill, here is another picture of the whole board, there are also closeups in post #5 of the sections of the board that are marked as hard to read. I checked the fuse you pointed out and there is a connection across it. Does this mean there are two separate problems: one with the 5.3v supply and one with the 24v supply?...
