Some have suggested on redoing the flash memory which is ~$40. Can Vizio give a new board for $80 because in that case I may just do that? No boards are presently on Ebay....

I am no genius with this stuff but comparing my issue with others seems to be one of these two issues.

That flash chip looks very difficult to repair. Is there a video on replacing this somewhere? Thanks for the advice.

Just an FYI:
My Vizio EV422VA will turn on and stay on the Vizio logo for a few minutes then shut off. Then the power button will flash and eventually the TV will turn back on with the Vizio logo again. It will continue to cycle through this for hours but never do anything...

Did you ever end up having any luck?

I ran into a similar problem with this model. Screen will turn on and then tv will power off after some time. The power light will blink but no controls (remote or on tv) will do a thing. I looked for obvious signs such as bulging capacitors or burnt out circuits. I may need to buy an volt tester since my is over 1000 miles away as I'm at school. Any advice would be great.

I am a newbie to this stuff and would appreciate any help. I tried all the basic stuff in forums...
