I have fixed 3 or 4 of your vizio tv every single one of them had a bad main board. had the same symptoms as yours. steve

i use bump on's thats what i call em. the things you put behind picture frames that are to be hung on the wall keeps the wall from being scratched. i have had 100% sucess rate with these. just my 2 cents worth. steveLeave a comment:

there is nothing wrong but the main board you received. i just fixed the same tv yesterday same symptom. another main board fixed it. matter of fact this is the second tv i have fixed with bad main boards with this symptom.Leave a comment:

most likely a bad lcd panel. i just worked on one friday reolaced the t-con and main board. it turned out to be a bad panel. vizio had a recall on a lot of these. steveLeave a comment:

i use bump-ons what i call them. in the hardware section they are used for the bottom of picture frames hanging pictures that is to keep from scarring the wall. i trim them down and stick them on the ribbon cable and the pressure of the frame when installed does the trick. i have fixed several this way it works great for me.
the heat does not seem to affect these as they are kind of a hard plastic. the last i done i used a hot solder iron to shave them down for a tight fit.Last edited by sgeorge; 11-16-2014, 06:22 PM.Leave a comment:

old thread but i have the same tv that sony gave us. had to mail the model & serial number sticker off the back of tv back to sony. been using mine about 4 years with a 2.5 amp pico fuse in mine. i use it a lot as it is my computer monitor. your mom done good on that. steveLeave a comment:
