Re: Olevia 537 B12 screen goes blank while powered up
Got the power board yesterday, installed it and the television has worked for about 9 straight hours so it looks as if that was the issue.
How can I check the old board to see what the exact issue was so I can have a backup lying around?
BTW, thanks for the help Bill, I appreciate it very much.

Re: Olevia 537 B12 screen goes blank while powered up
OK, my 537-B12 has the picture and sound go out after 15 to 30 minutes of use when the tv is warmed up, but after leaving the unit unplugged for 24 hours, I got 10 hours use before the picture and sound went out.
Can someone tell me what is going on?
I did order a power board for only $90 just in case that is the problem. From reading other threads, it seems that if you sound stays on while the picture goes out, it is more than likely the inverter board.

Re: Olevia 537 B12 screen goes blank while powered up
Thanks for the help
I read a lot about capacitors and opened the tv up but non of the capacitors were buldging or seaping. A few were slanted but I am almost positive they were like this from the factory.
Where would the power supply be located? I have the tv closed back up and I was thinking of "flashing" it with firmware but read that could be bad if done wrong.

Olevia 537 B12 screen goes blank while powered up
After a power outage due to a tree taking out a power line, and a separate power outage 1 weeks after the first in which the power blinked on/off about 10 times in a matter of 8 mintues, this Olevia LCD screen goes blank for no reason, but the power appears to be on.
The tv has been used sparingly over its life (2 years) and it seems the problem is getting worse. This morning after having the tv off all night, I powered it up this morning, it ran 15 minutes, then the screen went off, but the power button was still on. I turned it off for 1 minute, then turned it back on and it ran...
