Thanks for the firmware update files, they have got the TV going again.
However to get them to install I had to switch power to the TV while holding the 'OK' button down with the USB stick already installed, no other combination seemed to work.
I also commented out the 'Pure Boot' lines in the txt file as in the Toshiba 40L1333DB post on here.

I realise its been a couple of years since this thread was active but I wonder if you might still have the schematics handy for the Tannoy Reveal 6D speakers.

I have just repaired a 66D which had a problem with the mute circuit and although it is now working I would really like to see the circuit diagram just to confirm my analysis of the fault and make sure my repair mod won't cause any more problems down the line.

Hi, thanks for letting me join the forum
I only found Badcaps from a Google search for a service manual but it looks like somewhere I should have known about before.
I have been in electronics for over 40 years, mainly pro-audio recording-studio gear, and I was the electronic designer at Rebis Audio back in the 70s and 80s.
Now mainly doing audio and computer repair work plus web design.
Hobbies include R/C models, photography, computers and most recently ham radio.
