Hamie, Thanks for the suggestion. On my set it looks like the IR sensor board connects to the button board. I disconnected the IR sensor from the button board and the error message is gone

Now I'll need to figure out how to get the remote working again. Does it make since to replace the IR sensor board? The problem could be upstream, but that doesn't seem likely since removing this board cleared up the error message. Has anyone seen these sensors go bad out of the blue?

I stumbled upon this site while trying to find repair info on my TV. What a cool place!

My TV started acting odd yesterday. It doesn't respond to the remote, but it does power on with the button on the TV. Once it's on, I do get a picture, but an error message pops up that says "Not Available." I'm unable to do anything to remove the box. I can hit the menu button on the TV but it returns to the "Not Available" error message instantly. It's almost like there is a stuck button repeatedly triggering the error. I've removed the batteries...
