It's been a few weeks now, and the tv no longer turns on/off by itself anymore. It appears the wi-fi module was overheating. Since I have have the tv connected to my PS3 which connects to the router wirelessly, I don't need the tv's wi-fi module. Just taking it out solved my problem. I don't think it's worth buying a new wi-fi module as they appear to break so easily.

I switched out the main board. That didn't work. While in there, I noticed the wi-fi module was very hot after the TV had only been turned on for 2-3 minutes. I removed it. So far the TV isn't turning on/off any more. Perhaps it's been overheating and causing the tv to turn off as a safety mechanism?...Leave a comment:
