BACKGROUND: Several home appliance PC boards have been damaged over the years – dishwashers, wine coolers and oven. I'm no expert but it is my feeling that appliances with PC boards and without a manual on/off switch are particularly subject to surge damage.

Now, each appliance is protected with an internal surge protector whenever possible. A Whole House Surge Protector has just been installed in the electrical panel for external surges.

Hi,
I've been a lurker for a while. Where possible household repairs are DIY and this forum and the Internet is a great resource.

The Badcaps members have really been a help in troubleshooting a control board issue.

Also, the link to digi-key was helpful. Digi-key fullfilled my order promptly with quality electronics.

Unfortunately, I will be a taker - can't think of anything I can add to the forum.
