the ac mains plug is burned,one leg in the board is damaged,
fixed with one leg of 1w resistor
now the "2 seconds to black"
in the inverter side have one LM358,
OZ960 ccfl controller
and a pair of double mosfet's APM9932
I measured first the mosfet's for shorts and seems to be ok,
but i tried to change with a pair of 4542 from another hyundai 17"
with no luck.
i change the lm358,but no is the problem here.
finally ,changed the OZ960 (with my 30w pencil!!!) and the monitor
now is back to life....

I have the same board for repair,PQ 38,37,40 and 41 shorted,
there are FDS6676AS,
in my board PQ 36 and 39 are AD4684 (not sure for the brand)
and PQ 3 ,4 are AO4433 -

you can desolder this little mosfets (8pin smd) with a little pliers.
take the ic whit the pliers and add solder to four legs on both sides,then pull up
you must add heat on both sides quickly 2 or 3 times.
just repaired one samsung syncmaster 153v , whit 2 of 4 AO4600 mosfet shorted,due to dry capacitors.
My soldering iron is a "JBC" 25W, whit soldering tip slightly curved.

primary side is probably dead, check the mosfet , the little ic near (1200ap40) and replace the big cap ,
check too the two big resistors near
you can desolder the outputs of the transformer for easy repair and mesure on the primary side.
then , replace all caps on secondary side ,and resolder all pins on the two inverter transformers.

try change and re-program the 24c04 (not sure the same model) on the logic board.
I have one benq fp537 with same problems, now repaired.

replace all caps on the secondary side and the big one-(100uf 400v?, line filter, on the primary) and try power on again.Sometimes , Benq boards are easy to repair.At the moment ,no need to replace the two 47 uf 50v near the power mos-fet
the circled in red is a "optocoupler" ,normally Benq mount types 817 or pc123,if are burned ,change it,it 's cost inexpensive
