Depends on the hard disk but try Hirens boot cd first or hddunlocker
Some hdus have a secret backdoor password for admins and some can be unlocked by the manufacturer using a database!
Only realistic way is to desolder the drive controller chip and stick an identical one on or repprogram the old one using a programmer. Even so doing this rarely works because the drive geometry on disks has to match the controller chip but not always - I managed to hack some seagates using the board replacement method from an identical drive!Leave a comment:

Ok had a new Zgemma box plugged into my LG and whilst connecting up to my motorised satellite dish the LG went belly up. I am pretty sure it was the Zgemma box and the fact I had switched on the antenna amp and was messing about with the lead on the roof connecting it to the various dishes. My bad...very bad!!!
On switch on, At first the screen was dark and would eventually get brighter once heated up but there is a burnin off the Zgemma Ipab tv image on every i/o input and channel along with lots of multicolor snow interference now, sometimes you will get a few black tears in the... -

5 Epson Photo printers all just blocked heads and easily fixed, couple of other lasers needing new fusers but perhaps the weirdest in the back alley behind the financial district back in the days when dumpster diving was the in thing 100 copies of powerdvd xp , 100 copies of windows nt4 - im still selling them on ebay - only 20 copies of powerdvd left after 20 years lol

I suppose the good thing about having two identical tv's is that it should be a breeze to repair the broken one by swapping the boards from good to bad until you find all that are damaged although on the bad side of things you could blow the good boards you swap in if say the y-sus board gets damaged by plugging it in and the y-buffers are bad as well.Leave a comment:
