Also if I plug everything back up to the P.S. but remove the connector from the zsus to the ysus it comes on and stays on with a noticeable hum from the ysus

Thanks for the quick reply. When I unplug the upper right connector the tv clicks on once and stays on.

VS is 204, VA is 53, m5v is 5.17

With both of them unplugged it also turns on and stays on. If I plug in the upper and remove the lower it wont stay on.

With both out I get the following voltages:
M_ON = 4.00
RL_ON = 4.85
STBY = 5.17
5.2V = 5.18

Hi everyone,

I have an lg plasma tv model 50pa5500 (2 1/2 years old) that suddenly stopped working. We turned it on as usual. There was a loud pop, and it cut off. I went right to it but did not notice any smell or see any smoke. Now it clicks once when you turn it on followed by a second click a second or two later. No picture or sound.

The capacitors look normal, I can't see anything that looks like an obvious failure. I've been looking at some common failures for these on this board. Thanks ahead of time for the great resource.
