Re: Power Bright 12v 1500 watt power inverter Model# PW1500-12
The reading on the main cap is 115.3 volts. It is a CapXon 1500uF 200 volts LP vent 85 C Neg. Could the main cap have been weakened by the 120 volts AC applied backwards at the inverters 120 volt AC output plug? If the cap is like your saying should be @ 170 volts DC. The voltage lacking is a difference of 55 volts. This inverter in addition has four large main transistors. The readings on the four main transistors (there are two pairs each, a pair on the positive side (red)AC, the other two are on the neutral side AC...

Power Bright 12v 1500 watt power inverter Model# PW1500-12
Hello, members
I am having problems with this inverter after it has been repaired. What had happened was 120 volts ac was sent through the inverter backwards while being connected to a photovoltaic systems AC (2) 15amp circuit breaker panel. Smoke came out of the inverter. I replaced all the damaged components, capacitor, all fuses and all transistors. I purchased all same components or equals and installed them. I reassembled the inverter back together. The inverter now turns on, and(with the proper AWG cables connected to a deep cycle battery on the + and -terminals the inverter surges...

Hitachi 42hdf39 no display
I received a non working Hitachi 42hdf39 (circa 2006). I'm not the original owner so I don't know the history. It is a hybrid Plasma TV/computer monitor. The TV side has S-video, composite, component and HDMI inputs. The "PC" side has a single VGA input.
SETUP
=====
- known working VGA cable, 15 pin male to male
- known working laptop with VGA output
- known working AC power surger protector
- laptop plugged into Hitachi PC side with known working VGA connections
- remote control has fresh known working batteries

Re: 42" Hitachi and 57" Pioneer Plasma TV's
Hi,
Did I do something to offend you PlainBill
I apologies about the Model number's,
The Hitachi 42” Model number is 42HDF39.
The symptom line of order is red LED standby is present and when powered on the green power light comes-on then immediately turns-off and then stays green with no picture or sound.
The Pioneer Model # is PDP-4300. Aim a newbie and uploaded a picture and not sure if I did the right format of pic.
Thanks, Mike

42" Hitachi and 57" Pioneer Plasma TV's
Hi Members,
Mpobanion again,
I need some help on Two Plasma TV's. The first is 42” Hitachi that the green power button is the only light that is present. A relay sound happens if the unit is unplugging from the wall A/C. The TV has been looked at and no filters caps have any damage. What could possibly be causing this, the power supply?
The second TV is a 57” Pioneer 2yrs old it was a display model a lot of use. A picture of the screen show's a white square about in the middle ½ in and about 1/8 height. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Wizard would you possibly have some insight? I know this is older technology and you probably work on the new stuff.
Thanks, Mike

Re: Philips Magnavox PTV775 - AH01..Help appriciated...
How old is the PTV? Usually Caps in the main power circuit need to be checked. A schematic of the model will help. Do goggle searches on Philips or this link might have what you need? Help!
Hi,
I replaced two 1000uF 200volt Capacitors that were below the +130 supply. The voltage drop across the Cap's + to - is about 163volts but the measurement from a ground point to + side of Cap's is only 116v. I ‘am learning about this all and not an expert.
Does anyone know, if there is no High Voltage going to Cathode Ray Tube's in a rear Projection TV's, would the LOFT or fly back transformer be at fault always and could bad convergence Integrated Circuit's stop any picture HV from getting to CRT's?
PlainBill, could you possibly help since you have knowledge...

60" Philips No Picture HV circuit for DPTV305
Hi, members
Dead Set
I have a Philips 60” DPTV305. The Power supply is working fine after replacing Capacitor. I have Audio but no picture. I have 5v standby and standby at correct volts when PTV is off. 130v present at connector 1518 pin 9. Checked for HV at G2 focus screen block, only has about 2.5v when this should be 200v. I checked @ location pin 1 of each CRT board. The focus block is a sealed module and all connections are insulated with rubber I could not get HV reading. Amplifier Power / Protect Thermal/ Generator Fly back pins 1-7: These 1-10 pins are right under the...
