Hi thanks for the reply! I managed to revive the laptop after all by using the bios bin from a Satelite c50-A628 that uses the same motherboard.
Laptop is now working fine!

Just got one with the same issue. Did you get any result by flashing?
All voltages seem ok and i did not detect any short.

indeed the 2015 ones dont boot without a good a battery. had one that was completely dead with the power adapter and after checking the battery was shorted. With a new battery it worked like a charm!Leave a comment:

worked great with the bios given by ala_borbe and the same chip . apparently bios corruption is very common on this model. Funny thing is the guy that brought it to us got a replacement board as well and it was not working (had the same problem) :PLeave a comment:

its is a very common problem with the amd gpu going bad on this model. the best solution is to replace the chip with a new one. i have reflowed a lot of them but they only work for some months before going bad again.
You need experience to remove the chip and install a new one . iF you are not sure if you can do it i am sure you can find someone in your area that replaces gpu ics.
