  • +1.1V on KSO lines (keyboard) instead of 3.3V ??

    hi,
i have 1.1V on all the KSO lines on keyboard connector, normally it should be 3.3V.
Any idea of the line missing for this ?
it happened after my customer broke the keyboard connector ...
keyboard connector and EC have already been replaced, and same issue.
on the EC i also have 1.1V only on these KSO lines
    motherboard X705UQ/X705UNR , IT8985E
    thank you for any advise

  • Re: Asus g751jy schemetic please rev.2.0

    Hi
i am having no power issue here
after the first mosftet i have 0.15V (pulsing up to 0.8V or may be more, but too shortly)
and after secondary mosfet i have 3 to 4 Volts
I have already changed the entry mosfets PQ8801 ans PQ8802 (twice), and the regulator BQ735
i also removed PR8806 to be sure to have no short after AC_BAT_SYS in a sub circuit.
My customer claimed the battery died and after this he got this issue.
Did anyone encounter a same issue and fixed it ?
    (i know i could just put a...

  • Re: ASUS N56VM no power

    Hi
I am having quite same issue with a N56VM board too.
    i have a Ver 2.3 board.
originally, i had a short on AC_BAT_SYS, that went to CPU_VCORE (3 mosfets changed, and CPU dead,)
There is still a short on CPU_VCORE as soon as i plug any CPU
so i guess there is a short after CPU too(that may have originated the VCORE mosfets to blow)
    i will see this later,
    i plugged NO CPU,
now i have +3VO at 0Volts (no short), but +3VAO and +3VA are present, so i am confused
    5 volts are all present.
    i changed...

  • Re: ASUS ROG G750JW Burned SMD Help

    hi
put a 15UF 25V tantallum capacitor or something near this value, not lower in voltage.
    i tried a 330uF tantallum capacitor, 3 burned in a row ...
i finally used a standard capacitor of 12uF in my case and worked

    hi
    15uF 25V tantalum capacitor
if it is shorted, there may be another reason, check mosfets for short, BQ735 and the 2 small caps south to the mosfets on your picture. one is 1UF between the 2 mosfets and the other to AC_SYS is a 22pF. mosftly these are the parts i have to change when AC_SYS gets shorted.
